Set-up Ultratec Minicom IV Phone

  • All you need to do to set up the Minicom IV is plug it in! You must plug in the AC adapter for 24 hours to charge the batteries.
  • After the batteries are charged, you can leave the AC adapter plugged in all the time unless you need to use the batteries during a power outage or while traveling.
  • Be sure to pull the plastic tab out of the battery compartment on the bottom of the Minicom IV before you plug in the AC adapter.
  • Place the Minicom IV next to a telephone.
  • Plug the AC adapter cord into the Minicom IV
  • Plug the AC adapter into a wall outlet.

Safety Instructions for MinicomIV:

  • When using your Minicom IV, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury to persons:
  • Read and understand all instructions
  • Follow all warnings and instructions marked on the Minicom IV
  • Unplug the Minicom IV from the wall outlet before cleaning. Do not use liquid or aerosol cleaners. Use a damp cloth for cleaning
  • Do not use the Minicom IV near water, for example, near a bath tub, wash bowl, kitchen sink, laundry tub, in a wet basement, or near a swimming pool
  • Do not place the Minicom IV on an unstable cart, stand, or table. The product may fall, causing serious damage to the Minicom IV
    - This product should be operated only from the type of power source indicated on the marking label. If you are not sure of the type of power supply to your home, consult your dealer or local power company
  • Do not allow anything to rest on the power cord. Do not locate the Minicom IV where the cord will be damaged by persons walking on it
  • Do not overload wall outlets and extension cords. This overloading can result in a fire or electric shock
  • To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not disassemble the Minicom IV, but take it to a qualified service person when service or repair work is required.   • Do not use the telephone to report a gas leak in the vicinity of the leak
