How SafeStraw Works?

• Made with a special one-way valve and float design that regulates how much fluid can be sipped through the straw at one time
• When the user sucks on the straw, fluid flows through the valve and into the chamber
• When the fluid travels, the float rises and then cuts off the supply, allowing roughly one teaspoon of liquid per sip

Who Uses the SafeStraw?

• The SafeStraw is made for individuals with deficient oral motor skills
• This is commonly diagnosed as dysphagia
• Dysphagia is the difficulty of consuming liquids due to the inability to control the liquid bolus
