Care & Cleaning Instructions

The shelf life of low-temperature splinting materials is indefinite under the following conditions:

  • Store at temperatures between 40°F and 90°F (4°C and 32°C)
  • Store at less than 65% relative humidity
  • Avoid prolonged exposure to light, especially ultraviolet light
  • Avoid exposure to corrosive fumes and ethylene oxide fumes

Storage Instructions of Rolyan Splint

  • Temperature:
    • 1/16" (1.6mm): 150°F to 160°F (65° to 70°C) water for 30 seconds
    • 3/32" (2.4mm): 150°F to 160°F (65° to 70°C) water for 30 to 45 seconds
    • 1/8" (3.2mm): 150°F to 160°F (65° to 70°C) water for 1 minute
  • Time:
    • 1/16" (1.6mm): 1 minute of working time
    • 3/32" (2.4mm): 2 to 3 minutes of working time
    • 1/8" (3.2mm): 3 to 5 minutes of working time
