Rolyan Kydex Hand And Wrist Orthosis is made for upper extremity positioning. The Functional Resting Orthosis holds the hand in a functional position while the Neutral Positioning Orthosis holds the hand in a neutral position. It is made from 1/8-inch kydex and lined with 3mm Volara which makes the brace lightweight and heat bendable.

Instructions:


  • Remove splint from patient to make adjustments
  • Avoid storing in extreme heat or cold. Single Patient Use
  • This product is to be used under the supervision of a medical professional
     

Apply Splint



  • Adjust straps and position pads for a comfortable fit
     

Adjust Strap Length Neutral Position Splint



  • Forearm Straps
    - Remove strap
    - Cut non hook end to length
    - Re-apply
  • Hand Straps- Cut in front of stitch line
     

Plastic can be modified with a heat gun:



  • Remove from patient
  • Remove liner and straps Using extreme caution, gently heat plastic until soft
  • Reshape
  • Allow splint to cool completely before reapplying liner and straps
     

Cleaning:



  • Plastics: Use damp cloth
  • Liner:
    - Hand wash
    - Air dry completely
