Ossur Formfit Walker Replacement Liner features a pneumatic system that increases stability while decreasing pain and swelling. It is designed with a wide rocker bottom, which is fitted with an anti-slip tread and helps to promote a natural gait. The liner is a step up from the formerly equalizer model and can also be used outdoors.
The Ossur Form Fit Boot Liner device is intended for immobilization of the foot and ankle.
Note: Do not remove the inner foam pads that are adhered to the plastic walker boot.
1. Open the straps and take out the inside part of the walker (Figure 1). But don't pull the tabs off just yet.
2. Put your lower leg and foot into the inside part and close it in the order shown (Figure 2).
3. Put your foot into the walker (Figure 3), making sure your heel is all the way in and the support bars are centered over your ankle. Your foot should be at a 90-degree angle to your lower leg, and there shouldn't be any space between your heel and the walker. (Figure 4)
4. If your foot rubs or if there's too much space between the inside part, the hard part, or the straps, add extra padding as necessary. (Figure 5)
5. Use the tabs on both sides of the hard part to connect it to the inside part (Figure 6), and fasten the straps as shown (Figure 7).
6. For the air-filled models, twist the valve to the right and press the air cushion until it's as puffy as you want it to be. Look at (Figures 8 and 9).
7. Take off the walker by undoing the straps and opening the inside part. If it's an Air model, twist the valve counterclockwise to release the air from the inside part before removing it.
