When to use Nutricia Polycal Powder?

ACBS approved, prescribable on form FP10 (GP10 in Scotland) for the following indications:

• Disease related malnutrition.
• Malabsorption states or other conditions requiring fortification with a high or readily available carbohydrate supplement.
• For patients with renal failure
• Liver cirrhosis.
• Disaccharide intolerance (without isomaltose intolerance)
• Disorders of amino acid metabolism, and/or whole protein intolerance, or other conditions including proven hypoglycaemia requiring a high energy, low fluid, low electrolyte die
