- Indications For Use:
- The MIC-KEY Low-Profile Feeding Tubes are indicated for use in patients who require enteral feeding, are unable to tolerate oral feeding, require gastric decompression and/or medication delivery directly into either the stomach, distal to the stomach, distal duodenum or proximal jejunum (tube types vary from G, J, TJ/ GJ & GE depending on what medical professional has prescribed/placed).

1. How long does it take for a gastrostomy to heal?
Healing takes about 21 days if your child has a stitch surrounding the tube. In around three months, a tract will grow between the stomach and the skin. At this time, your doctor may suggest that you change the tube.
2. How much water does it take to flush a feeding tube?
Before and after taking each medication, flush your feeding tube with 60 mL of water.
