Special Instruction for Functional Formularies Liquid Hope

  • Allergens:
    - Liquid hope is dairy-free, gluten-free, soy-free, corn-free product, we strive to produce a low-allergy enteral formula.
    - This product does contain almonds.
    - Although gluten-free, Liquid Hope is produced in a facility that uses gluten in other products.
  • Types of tubes:
    - The formula is pretty thin and does not require straining.
    - It should have no problem flowing through gastrostomy tubes.
    - If using gastrojejunostomy and jejunostomy systems, some dilution may be required, please check with your healthcare provider.
  • Nutritionally complete meal replacement:
    - Liquid Hope can be served as is. 
  • Two-year shelf life:
    - The unopened formula can be stored for up to two years at ambient temperatures. Do not store in a hot place. 
  • If storing after being opened, place Liquid Hope in a covered container and hold refrigerated for up to 48 hours but no longer.

How to use Functional Formularies Liquid Hope?

  • If switching from commercial enteral formula, transition slowly to allow the body time to adapt to the differences in formulas. Replace one serving of Liquid Hope for one serving of the current formula each day until goal is reached. Most people make a total switch in 7-10 days.
  • Liquid Hope has a 12 boor ambient room temperatnre bang time. 
  • Any unopened formula can be stored for up to 2 years at room temperature. Do not store in a hot place. 
  • Once opened, the formula can be refrigerated in a sealed container for up to 48 hours. Please discard any unused opened formula after 48 hours. 
  • Some small bore tubes may require product to be warmed and/or diluted. 
  • Water may be added. If adding water or any liquid, it must be reblended with the product to emulsify in order to prevent separation.
