1. With your thumbnail, flip open the package of Conveen Optima male external catheter to break the seal.

2. Remove the condom catheter from the package and gently put it over the head of the penis. Always leave a small space between the catheter outlet and the end of the penis. Users who are uncircumcised should leave their foreskin in place on the head of the penis.

3. Gently pull back the double grip strip and unroll the male external catheter along the length of the penis. The Conveen male external catheter should be unrolled evenly and smoothly.

4. Squeeze the Conveen Optima catheter gently around the penis shaft for approximately 1 minute. This will heat up the adhesive to provide a secure fit. To minimize the risk of skin irritation, let the penis skin breathe for short periods in between the catheter changes.

5. Insert the tubing connector into the catheter outlet to connect the urine collection bag to the external catheter. Put gentle pressure on a secure connection.
